In consideration of its proximity to an active railroad and local traffic, as well as the client’s desire for energy efficiency, ICF (insulated concrete forms) were used to construct the buildings perimeter. The wood frame roof utilized closed cell spray foam insulation and triple pane windows to provide quiet, comfort, and sustainability. Inside, polished concrete floors throughout contained energy efficient radiant heat assisted by an HRV air exchange system. The exterior is defined by simple lines including a standing seam metal roof and custom cedar accents.
